Joel Baker of Calabasas has assumed the position of Executive of the Pacific Southwest (PSW) Region of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. He will oversee the programmatic activities and administration of the regional office, which serves 60 affiliated congregations throughout Southern California, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Hawaii.
Baker comes to the position from a background that includes Jewish community centers, B'nai Brith, the University of Judaism and private consulting in fundraising, strategic planning and board development.
Baker and his family are members of Temple Aliyah in Woodlan.
